Abide is designed without accounts, advertising or developer-operated analytics. Personal app settings and saved content are stored locally on your device. This notice describes the current iOS app and website implementation.

Who operates Abide
Abide is the product name for the Bible verse widget and reading app. The legal operating entity and privacy contact email must be added here before the policy is submitted with the app. Until those details are confirmed, this page is a release candidate and must not be treated as final legal advice.
Information we collect
We do not require an account and do not operate a server that receives your favorites, widget configuration, reading preferences, progress or Scripture correction drafts. The app does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics in the inspected release configuration. The app configuration disables general network access and remote correction submission. We therefore do not collect those personal app records on our own servers.
Information stored on your device
The app stores language preference, reading text size, favorite verse identifiers, widget selections, local reading/practice state and correction drafts in iOS local app storage. A correction draft may contain text that you choose to enter. These records remain on the device and are used to provide app features; they are not sent to Abide. iOS device backup settings may affect how local app data is backed up by Apple.
Purchases handled by Apple
If you choose to buy or restore an in-app purchase, the app uses Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and may receive information needed to complete or restore it under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Abide receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement results needed to unlock the purchase, not your Apple Account password or payment card details. Scripture content and its source
The current English Scripture text is the World English Bible Protestant Edition (WEBP), archived from eBible.org. The source archive is used to prepare app content; favorites and reading activity are not sent back to eBible.org. See the Scripture Sources page for version, source and attribution details.
Website and hosting
This website has no account, contact form, advertising pixels or analytics integration. When hosted publicly, the hosting and delivery provider may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect the site. The production hosting provider and its log-retention period must be named here once selected.
Retention and deletion
Local app records can be removed using the relevant controls in the app where available, or by deleting the app from the device, subject to any device backup managed by iOS. We do not hold a server-side profile or app-content copy to delete. Apple handles purchase records under its own retention practices. Hosting logs are governed by the selected hosting provider’s retention policy.
Children’s privacy
Abide is not designed to collect personal information from children. Since the app does not require an account and does not send personal app content to our servers, we do not maintain child user profiles.
Your choices
You can use the app without creating an account. You control whether to use local favorites, widget settings and correction drafts. You can avoid entering personal information in a correction draft. For Apple purchase data, use Apple’s account and privacy controls.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices, integrations or hosting change. Before release, the operating entity, privacy contact, hosting provider and retention details must be completed. Privacy contact: to be published before release.
